I assume your being facetious, Kael is a good friend of mine who dose excellent work which has been recognized by Soren Johnson himself, in addition his mod brings more traffic to CFC then this entire OTF!

I completely disagree, once of CFC's strengths was the speed, willingness even eagerness to create sub-forums for mods. It enhanced rather then discouraged people to go their. Of course with declining post counts all our sub-forums look like ghost towns but it was not the sub-forums that caused the problem. We should should not develop an ideological resistance to sub-forums that might hinder us later, though I am open to consolidations in the present I see forum creation as a proper and necessary response to growth.

I think a stronger focus on core nuts & bolts issues is key, fan sites live and die off just a few simple factors, server stability and capacity, Google page rank, good layout, prolific news and content, capturing audience in the formative period 2 months prior to release, supporting multiplayer etc etc. Even though I am a member of Modcast I don't have any illusion that it or the other Podcast can keep the site afloat, they are at best fun and amusing extras. I'm all for retaining the extras we currently have but our effort to turn Poly around must be one of refocusing ourselves on core principles.

This is a gaming website run by a handful of people, and only a handful of THEM know how to code. And most are not active enough to care about making Apolyton a full-time machine.

All these problems, everything related to hits, the format, the budget, the tech problems, future ideas being shot down... everything.

If we had even 3 full time devoted coders and maybe a seperate board of think-tanks everything would change. Until then nothing will change, we will still be where we are, and all we will have is our Off Topic Soap-Opera.

This thread will be on page 16 and this will still be the main issue, so im done repeating myself.

Honestly, the real answer is that we just have to wait until the current gen of polytubbies breeds and their kids are ~10 years old. Who the **** has enough time to make srs posts about video games after the age of 25?
