  • Close Tina, but those are bags of cement for the wall which is different from the drainage.

'Drainage' is how water from rain and ocean spray will go from Zkrib's property into the ocean. We plan a way that it will go which is called a 'drainage system'.

        • In the above pic the right side of the blue tarp is about where I'll see Zkrib's house from my salacot.

The bottom part of the wall should be solid. At some point a band of windows will cross the wall. This is the living room, which is 4m x 4m.

Exactly how far the windows will stretch from left to right, I don't know. I'd like it as much as possible, but this is supposed to be shown on Tito's plan, which I have yet to see. How high up the wall the windows begin, again I can't say exactly. I'm thinking of something like the seawall at Lancer's place--what it would look like if there were windows at the very top.

            Does this help?

            • Yes, that helps. I believe it was last week that he said something was going to happen by the end of the week so I'll ask him again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Tina had studying to do last night so I'll finish putting up pics as soon as I've had a cup of coffee.

              • The friendly local guys having their morning chat. This sitting area will be on the other side of the circumference wall.

                • The question now is two more steps or three. To determine this we have to take a new water level height from the new circumference wall location which will slightly raise the yard height and make sure that the yard is lower than the house. Every time we add a step we add eight inches to the wall.

Getting Tito up to speed on this took a few minutes yesterday.

                  • When it is finished the wall will not only be considerably longer than mine, but higher as well.
                    I've got wall envy.

                    • The wall is now level with the current top step, another first.

Round beach rocks go into the drainage way and will allow water to flow around them.

                      • Tina took this excellent pic capturing something I didn't see. The posts are now mutually supporting by means of the wood strung between them.

                        • At my place this is how close a tree is to my balcony. Sho has instructions that if a big typhoon looks like its going to hit Bohol to have some of the coconut leaves cut to reduce wind drag and therefore dampen the movement of the tree. None of Zkrib's trees will be anywhere near as close.

Another pic of the drainage system for the near side.

                            • That last, smaller gauge post down the end is the last post of the circumference wall at the far end. I'm purposely going to leave that post's cement column and poured wall short and you can add to them later Zkrib. The instructions to both leave it short so as to not hurt the view and make it high nuf to provide security are best resolved by your judgement when you get here. Its np, the wall and posts can be added to later. The metel bar is painted and will get a light coating of oil as well, wherever they stick out.

The last section or maybe two will be poured wall capable of dealing with the sea. After that, hollow block.

Four of these pipes provide the drainage at the far end that Tina refered to in the kids pic.

                              • I don't have the gravel in front that yours has. Allot more of yours is under it. When the waves are washing on my wall they haven't touched yours, the ocean being the ultimate water level.

My beautiful wife sitting on top of one of the walls in question.
