having done small scale project management - it is crucial that i had an idea about software, programming and stuff.
i still prefer to be a project manager than a programmer, but i've started a software engineering B.Sc. to base my way firmly to be a techy first, project manager later.
if time allows i'll take up economics and industry engineering classes.Comment

We have a 5-man PMO now for our company, 4 of them started off as software engineers and moved into the position, the other is this new guy who comes from a business/management background with an MBA. Being in Cincinnati, everyone I go to school with seems to work for GE or P&G. Since GE is sucking it you don't hear much from them. However, every time anything comes up it appears that P&G folk think what their company did it right.Originally posted by Asher
