Yep! That was one of the pros I noticed with my move upward as well; I got a new career about a month ago and I'm happy where I'm at, considering where our economy is at right now.

Two things here:

Why is it considered Illegal since your contract is up? (I am assuming by taking the job)

Second, the "Con" you listed is often how many people miss the bottom line, you have spelled out clearly your not really taking a hit when it comes to take home, which is very intelligent on your part.

Congrats on fulltime, many people are on opposite sides of the status you now claim

I meant, it would be illegal for me to contract for a single place for a whole year. If you work for one place, on contract, for one year the company you are working for can get in trouble. Something to do with tax implications and/or health benefits, since you are "in essence" a full time employee. I don't understand it, but it is they way it is.
