Let's be honest -- you don't like him cause he's not a Christian freak. He doesn't want to spend his time in office hamfisting abortion and anti-gay marriage legislation which Canadians have supported through their representatives AND the supreme court has ruled.
Actually last election it was because of Chris Kempling running, who I really liked.

This election it's more about Harper's lack of support for the provisions gutting the CHRC's and their ride through Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

I've known harper was lukewarm about social conservativism from the start, but I voted for him in the leader elections because he was better then Belinda Stronach.

As for Gay marriage, the people have never spoken, and the marriage provision passed by a single vote in parliament when Belinda crossed the floor. A dark day for democracy in Canada.
Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Yeah, I'll vote for Harper... mostly because it'll make Ben angry

Soooo... you want every bill to be a referendum to the people?

I'll vote for the hippie, to make him angrier.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

It's interesting what you consider to be a dark day for democracy was actually democracy at work. But then you consider Canada to be a totalitarian ****ing state, so what else can I say except "get ****ed"?

That's because they'd kick you out of the SPUSA if they knew you backed Harper

You missed the Doris Day debate.

I supported the petition to change Stockwell Day's name to Doris Day.

I think if enough people want it there should be a referendum. I'm all for populism.

You are COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DELUSIONAL if you think Canadians would take away gay marriage rights or the right to an abortion.

So if 155 people vote in favour of restoring traditional marriage it would be democracy at work?

It would be, if that's what the people's representatives decided? Duh?

If those 155 people were, in fact, the elected representatives of Canada.

                          That is the assumption, yes.

Indeed... for example, I wish for populism for calling for a vote to muzzle Ben on social conservative claptrap
