. World of Warcraft was the primary reason for my absence. And then lack of internet access. My connection is still pretty bad, but it's better. Just requires patience. Wow is worse than crack, I swear. Our guild got up till the 4th boss in Hyjal raiding, then our guild kind of fell apart. I was getting tired of the game at that point (late June). Raiding requires too much time. And my internet connection fell apart about the same time my guild did, so I quit that game (temporarily most likely).
And I haven't left again. My connection is still a bit flaky and takes a while to load web pages. And I've been working alot of hours lately. When I come home I have my routine (code for new addictions). My new addictions are cable news shows. I love all this political stuff. Even though it really doesn't matter. Republicans are evil, democrats are just incompetant. Not much choice there. I haven't even turned my computer on since last sunday. Even worse, I've been watching a little of Nancy Grace. This is embarrassing, but I can't help but follow the Anthony case.
Anyways I'm putting together a new casino. I'm working 10 hours a day and 8 on saturdays. We could go to 12 hours a day real soon. Maybe even 7 days a week. We are slated to open Nov 11. Takes alot of work to open a new casino/hotel. What I'm worried about is the economy is still hitting us hard. And the big bosses are wanting to cut down to 1 tech per shift. My bosses of course are fighting this. We have 2500 machines to take care of, 1 tech is just crazy. Yes they are more advanced than older models, and don't go down much, but it's still a lot of work. So there is the possibility I could get laid off just before opening.Comment
