The Alaska Independence Party membership scandal. With or without merit?I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Palin and her husband are linked to the Alaska Independence Party? Wow. I guess that means the Republican Party supports the secession of one of America's most oil-rich states. Lincoln is probably spinning in his grave 'bout now.

You lack the scope and variety of outlets of the GOP & Friends, not to mention the starting mindshare.
Enough evidence exists tying her to the party, including statements (yes, some now withdrawn, some not) from that party leadership talking about her connections that it's worth reporting and looking into further. It's clearly not some horrible smear job from the media, particularly given the original quotes from the party itself.
