Actually, we had an authorization to have a peacekeeping contingent there. Once Georgians killed our peacekeepers, we had the internationally recognized right to respond to agression (even US ambassador admitted it, see my post above).

20? At least 1400. I'll return you your question: What a load of crap YOUR country has sold YOU???

But you didn't have it when you invaded. So, you have nothing to worry about right now, just give us that authority too

Besides, Russian government was clear about that issue - first Georgia should sign an agreement not to use force and there should be an agreement about international peacekeepeers. In that case Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be safe enough. Before that, it's just stupid to leave them defenceless - Georgia proven it with their agression.
So, defend Abkhazia and South Ossetia themselves THEN whine please. So far you're just rearming agressors - Georgia, i doubt that it counts as a peacekeeping efforts.

Ready to back up your accusations?

Why should I take the time to re-point out what has been documented in the press and even discussed in this thread?
Correction: documented in the Western Propaganda Machine. Besides, first version was 40 people - exactly the size of the hospital's morgue. Some ****** called one morgue, morgue replied that there are 40 bodies in the morgue and that ****** decided that there were 40 dead in an entire confict all over the country. Then all other retards copied it all over various Western Propaganda Machine newspapers, TV channels etc.

Besides, you're a perfect example of an US citizen that was brainwashed by a Western Propaganda Machine. Of course, your Western Propaganda Machine already knows that it's a lie, but brainwashed patients are already thinking that it's truth, and Western Propaganda Machine doesn't try to correct it.

That's why Russia didn't agree to vote to respect the territorial integrity of Georgia in their internationally recognized borders. That is, territorial integrity was meant to be without Abhazia and South Ossetia, if nessesary. In other words, Russia agreed not to annex undisputed Georgian territory (all of Georgia, i'm not sure how to say it better so you'll understand it). Back then, others thought that Russian troops may not stop and may occupy all Georgia, overthrow the government etc., Iraq-style.

In other words, do some research before posting random bull****.

I'm not sure how the rest of the world thiks, but US ambassador thinks that "It is clear to us that the
Russian troops were justified to retaliate after the attack on Russian peacekeepers." (see my post above). Do you have some problems reading other's posts, or what? You post the same bull**** after it was proven wrong in the same topic... Sorry, but even your own ambassador admitted the obvious - if you kill peacekeepers, it unambiguously becomes an act of agression against the country that sent peacekeepers, according to international laws.

        • The USS Mount Whitney IS the flagship of 6th fleet and it IS the most advanced US Navy C4I ship.
Who in his striaght mind would use a dozen of combat ships lead by the most sophisticated US Navy command, control, communications, computer and intelligence ship to deliver a humanitarian aid only?
How many cargo can be delivered by the C4I (the flaghip, a floating HQ)?
Wouldn't it be way easier and cheaper to deliver a humanitarian cargo (aka diapers for Sukashvili) via, GOD DAMN, GARGO vessels, not combat ships?
So, don't even start your crap about those combat ships in the Black Sea are only carrying a humanitarian mission (btw, how many humanitarian cargo you send to the victims of the Georgian aggression?).
They have already delivered their suppose to be a "humanitarian cargo" (a pack of diapers for your certified lackey sh!t dog).
So, what the f*** are they still doing there?
They are not there to deliver diapers to Sukashvili, and you know that.

Why won't you admit the obviouis for once?

p.s. Though you can send your ships there for all you care, the Black Sea is a perfect death trap for your fleet.
Seriously, you are going to argue with me over this? Really?

No Serb, no matter what your puppet masters tell you the USS Mount Whitney is not an uberbattleship of doom.

I heard that Roki tunnel is a Russian property, but i'm not sure about it. If it is, then attack should have been an agression against a Russian soil. Georgians wanted to block the exit from the tunnel - they sent their best troops in that direction, but South Ossetians had focused their defence in that direction too and stopped them. Russia promised SO to intervene in case of agression so SO focused their defence there. Russian help was the most guaranteed way to repel the agression, so SO focused their defence on the only convenient link between SO and Russia, they didn't have enough troops so to defend entire front.

                    Also
The Georgian military had planned to blow up the Roki Tunnel leading from Russia to South Ossetia to prevent the Russian Army from coming to the rescue of its peacekeepers in the region. Large caches of arms had been discovered near the tunnel, said General Nogovitsyn.

He said A response was justified, not the response that transpired.

I heard that Roki tunnel is a Russian property

Thats funny, seeing as the Georgian land forces never got anywhere near the tunnel. I am not sure what is worse, your blanket acceptance of these obvuious lies or the fact that your government/generals are so confident in your ignorance that they don't even bother to craft plausible falsehoods.

                              • Stuffed Ballots, Biased Campaign Tainted Georgia Vote: OSCE
                                By REUTERS
                                Published: September 9, 2008

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Ballot-box stuffing, beatings of opposition activists, biased news coverage and government officials campaigning for President Mikheil Saakashvili's party tainted Georgia's parliamentary elections this year, Europe's main election watchdog said on Tuesday.

The United States praised Georgia as a "courageous young democracy" after its brief war with Russia last month; but the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) ODIHR arm said there were many significant shortcomings in a May 21 election, when Saakashvili's party won a big majority.

Its final report was significantly tougher than the monitors' initial report, which described election day as calm and generally positive, although with some shortcomings.

Washington has defended Saakashvili's government as an outpost of democracy against what it terms Russian bullying, while Moscow portrays Georgia's leader as a warmongering tyrant.

The ODIHR, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, ratified its initial view that election day itself was calm and voting was generally assessed positively; though there were "a limited number of serious violations, including ballot-box stuffing."

But it said there were "many significant shortcomings" in the counting of the vote, followed by "widespread and serious irregularities" in the way Georgian election authorities handled around 1,400 election-related complaints and appeals.

At least six opposition activists who were taking legal action against electoral irregularities were beaten, it added.

"In one severe case, a United Opposition candidate's leg was broken by unknown attackers after his car was first forced to stop," the report said.

"Two of the cases followed up by the OSCE/ODIHR concerned opposition figures who...had made allegations of ballot stuffing."

Georgia's opposition boycotted the opening session of the new parliament in June in protest at what they said was the rigging of the election.

Saakashvili, who had promised a "beautiful election" after heavy criticism of the vote which returned him to power in January, said the parliamentary election was free and fair.

But the ODIHR said problems began before the voting started.

Two months before the election, Georgia changed the election code to allow the use of government resources for campaign purposes and to permit officials to mix campaigning with official duties, contravening Georgia's OSCE commitments.

This created an unequal playing field in favor of the ruling party, the United National Movement, the report said.

"The campaign was marred by widespread allegations of intimidation, among others of candidates, party activists and state employees," the ODIHR added.

It cited the cases of opposition activists, particularly teachers, who were threatened with dismissal from their jobs unless they stopped campaigning.

Most television news during the campaign, apart from that of public TV, lacked balance and gave most coverage to Saakashvili's United National Movement (UNM) party, it added.

"Most monitored TV channels, including public TV, devoted significant and favorable coverage to activities of the authorities," the report said.

The main opposition television station Imedi, which was forced off the air after being stormed by riot police in November, resumed broadcasts but did not cover news or talk shows until after the election.
