As amazing as that insight of his is, perhaps he should give credit to others for his speech material.

It was a throwaway, totally non-controversial line in a larger speech that normal, mentally-balanced people wouldn't have thought twice about. Seeing as you're either too lazy to watch a vid or to stupid to comprehend, I'll try to make it simple for you. On the campaign trail, Obama had laid out his energy plan and someone from the audience asked, "What can individuals do to help?" So he responded with "you can make sure your tires are properly inflated" b/c if everyone did so it'd save ~3-4% total gasoline consumption in the U.S.

That's it. No preaching, no telling what to do, just answering a question. Please tell me you understood.
