Of course it does. They flip the switch in October or November from what I can see and nothing is going to stop them so might as well enjoy the show and have a laugh.


Even if they make a black hole and it doesn't evaporate and is captured by Earth's gravity it would likely take a a low estimate of a few decades of orbiting around and through the Earth to accumulate enough mass to suck the planet in. Well ok the lowest estimate is 5 years but if the scientists can just ignore that because they don't like it then so can I. So maybe my wife and I will have time to enjoy our remaining lives, and we have no kids...and no control over the situation...

Thing is, they flip in on and there's no telling whether it made a black hole or not until the black hole has accumulated the needed mass to suck in the world, then it will be over very quick. There will be lots of patting on the back and "see, we told you there was nothing to worry about", before the end.
