Yes.
I believe that maxim was proven when George W. Bush was reelected President.

Sorry to stray from the topic, but nowadays there isn't much difference in terms of training between regular forces and reserves and national guards. They all get deployed, and they're all doing a lot of the same jobs. I think back during the Vietnam war it was a bit different, but today somebody serving in the national guard is more than pulling their weight.

If there's anyone thinking that an Illinois senator from Chicago would be a radical leftist, I have a stack of subprime loans to offer you.
My main concern these days is the attacks on democracy that the Bu****e neocons are waging. If nothing else, I expect Obama to reverse the trend of ideological far right conservative appointees to the federal judiciary. That alone is enough for me to vote for him.
I also noticed his campaigns ability to come from behind in both the democratic primary and in his race for the senate seat. He obviously is good at picking people to run his campaign; I figure if he can do half as well as pres he'll outstrip McCain and Bush by a long shot. In fact any area I think of I can't see McCain doing better. He'd be too beholden to the same far right nutjobs who got him elected to fix things.
I think similarly.
I never thought Obama was the second coming. Although I do now have an Obama sticker on my computer bag. And I do think that him being elected would be good for race relations in the US.

But the personal and equipment in it are USAF. It is the reserve component of the USAF and its pilots officers in members of the USAF.

Would you like it better if they were called neocon?
In any extant, the left doesn't like them. And I think that most wouldn't like them if they knew their ideology.

Only because he's famous. If he wasn't running for president, most blacks wouldn't even claim he was really black. (and when he ran for the senate originally many said they didn't consider him black, that he was just some dark colored white person) But now he's the mesiah.
The same was with Tiger Woods. When he first became known, most of the blacks at work said that Tiger wasn't black enough according to their standards. This miraculously changed when he started winning everything.
So how is a man that's pretending to be black good for race relations in the US?
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

If some african american kids don't look up to him and say "hey, I could run for president" then I don't know what could make more african americans aim so high.
The issue is that race is perceived to play such a role that a black person can't acheive great success. Obama being president would show that color of the skin does little. Now black in the US is more than just the color of someone's skin. It also has cultural and often economic meaning.
However, in all honesty, in any capitalist society economics will play an important role. And also, obviously, all cultures are not equal.

I think he would be. He is very charismatic ad capable. He would have given Hillary a run for her money even if he wasn't black.

Yeah, he'd probably be somewhere else.

Racist BS.
That is a pretty stupid assumption unless you give any reason for this theory other than the very fact that he's black. He didn't play the race card. If he had, he would not be where he is. Obama is as white as a black man can be. Don't blame it on him that you can't get race out of your head.
And I'm no Obama fan.
