I went from trashing some guy obviously cherry-picking statistics and ignoring overwhelming evidence to the contrary to trashing some guy talking out of his ass about anything he could.

This was a splendid thread for easy targets. I'm waiting for Ben to pop in and say something stupid for the next 100-200 posts now. Me is sure he'll say something like the bear in my avatar is blue. (I'm not even joking, he seriously thinks the Calgary Flames jersey is orange when it is red. He can't get anything right. Anything. Ever.)

As I said above... think what you want but I am bored again. Your ability to have the last word is nothing new to a parent of a 2 year old. Last word doesn't indicate correctness. It indicates endurance, stuborness and quite often immaturity.

Given that you posted either bull**** stats or demonstrably cherrypicked misleading stats, I can't understand how you think you are right. Even the driveby commentators in this thread identified your argument as invalid or weak at best.

Actually targeting civilian officials of the government (and their loved ones) is a very effective way of damaging morale within the administration. Who is going to go to work at the elementary school or the post office for some craptastic salary if it might get them killed? As a side effect, by crippling its ability to provide services, you prevent the regime from generating popular support.

After all, most people will go along with any old government so long as the services they expect are delivered. In order to bring fence-sitters onto the side of the insurrection, you have to cut the ties that bind them to the police state.

Yeah, some tyrant take over the country, well first action would probably be a house to house sweep picking up any kind of weapon (anyone carrying a gun is of course shot immediatedly).

next step is of course to reestablish the basic services sush as police, fireprotection and mail - - since they typically are trustworthy, they are armed with the right to shoot at will. Not an easy target since you just have lost your weapons .

While you probably can wet your blankets with dreams of fighting back, it's acttually a question of comitting suicide in a hopeless battle or surrendering your weapons in a general search.
