agreed. even Civ3 was an easily moddable game.

Civ 4 is just a nightmarishly boring and unnecessarily complicated game on all levels. I literally think of playing Civ 4 as a chore rather than something to be enjoyed. The only worse game i can think of is EU3, where i would rather give my left testicle than play again. I will probably never play Civ 4 again.

Civ 4 is like an orgy of numbers and choices that somehow manages to look like one of my chunky ex-girlfriends while also feeling mundane and repetitive. The problem is, a person or group of people have my trust or they don't. As an introduction, Civ 1 rocked.
Civ II with it's MP ability was fantastic. Then they rushed out 3. Pissed me off so bad, I can't even convey accurately how much so. Civ 4, and the pc I had played 1 and 2 and 3 a time or two, wouldn't even support it's requirements. SO what's the point now? I go out and finally upgrade the pc, which I'm not like you, I don't go give talks for youth rights for money. Not a slam, just a statement of fact. So, I have the pc, but why 4? I know there are numerous upgrades. Undoubtably they'll come out with a halfass 5. As far as I'm concerned Firaxis screwed the Civ Community. Do they care? Have you noticed aby admission or caring? Does MSN have a place to meet and play for Civ 4? I don't believe they do. They did for 2.

I am annoyed at how long it's taking for a final BTS patch.

That said, I enjoy the game, and honestly think it's by far the best of the series.

I have to agree, it's the best Civ game yet. It's too bad that we are still awaiting what will probably be the last patch.

While I'm also getting a tad annoyed waiting, since it will probably be the final one, i think it's worth waiting a tad longer for it to be tested properly, since we don't need it to create any new bugs.

Count me as one of the satisfied BTS customers.

I have my doubts that there will be a final patch. Soren is gone and with him all the "we listen to our customers" policy. Alex and Trip as our agents there likely don't have enough power to change anything. It's C3C happening again...
