  • Feedback on Grandpa Troll's medical procedures

I am facing my fourth operation in about two years from when that dude that was high on Cocaine hit me, and no, he did not offer me his credit card to help me out!

I have had spinal surgery [Dysectomy) (repaired two discs) maybe May of 2006, had Carpal Tunnel surgery (August 2006), then in December 2007 removed the Cartilage in my left wrist as mine was torn in accident, had to shave all the muscle tissue down because it was all inflammed and had I believe a Dequervin Release (cut the sheath around the tendons).

Now I am faced with this:

A painful wrist causes disability and decreased function of the upper extremity. The articulation afforded the hand by the wrist is important for mobility, strength, and dexterity.

It makes me say ouchie when looking at 7 and 8 in the Media files, but I will be under.

I am tired of all the pain meds I have been on for over 2 years (since March 2006) so the Surgeon who had to explain top me I have nothing left in my joint area due to post traumatic arthritis, which is different from Rheumatoid of degenerative Arthritis because it was caued by me holding the steering wheel and when my pickup got totalled, apparently all the energy travelled up the frame and released in my left hand.

I am just awaiting approval from workmans compensation for the wrist fusion.

I am trading off all range of motion for (hopefully), no more pain!

I was wondering if we have anyone out here who has had wrist fusion?

I will still have usage of fingers and thumb, just will basically all arm with no wrist motion.

Ok, just curious, I have spoken and researched for all angles, no more options left, either live with pain or take this operation.

I choose loss of motion because i am throwing the towel in on living with pain.

    Just another readjustment is all.

Lancer, I am beyond humble now.

Life has dealt me some less than desirable cards, no not the worse, just exact opposite of how I have been.

I have allways been a hands on physical type dude.

Worked in the woods as a youngman, bouncer, motorcycle enthusiast, martail artist practioner and teacher as well as a truck driver.

Lived through drugs and alcohol dependancy (which is yet another reason I want to stay off pain meds!!)

I have been losing weight now down from 319 to a current 266.5 for last week.

Diabettes now in control via diet and meds.

          No more high blood pressure

Liver functions best they have been in 25 years!

          Cholosterol in excellent shape.

Its a mental challenge, no more picking up heavy items (spine restrictions)

I battle anger and bitterness against the driver, who got a ticket for failure to reduce speed and then got a mere 18 months for felony possession of Cocaine.

I have to work on forgiveness, very hard at times.

But as I put more years on, have realized sometimes, one must cut bait or fish. Cry or live onward with a positive attitude.

I have to remember to not bite those around me, as it is a challenge living in physical pain along with a small amount of elevated stress facing a different lifestyle.

But life shall move on and I choose to also move onward.

Thanks for feedback Sir Lancer, I have allways appreciated your comments, eben when aimed humourously at come Kings or would be Kings in the land we traverse amongst

You can't file a civil lawsuit against him?
            I would take the operation.

Remember that even terrible hardships can serve a good purpose. Or not...either way they are certainly wonderful to put behind you.

To Mods and Ownership of Apolyton

IO know I have been a less than desirable character and no am still dealing with things, but yes i do hope Apolyton continues to suceed.

I have often allowed my pain to be exhaled in the form of lashing out.

this is not how I should handle things.

No, I dont necessarily agree with all decisions but in all fairness, I dont have to.

What I must do is when convicted and when faced with changing my attitude due to circumstances others are unaware to to apologize, and the part of humbling one's self yet again is to understand that yes, we all must make the trek of retracing the steps we have been on.

I have heard and must agree, the mark of a man is not in the heights he obtains but even moreso in how he handles challenges, failures and obstacles.

I have the hope one day to quit making mistakes, thats just me having hopes that my two-edged sword will stay sheathed, if not, fins a muzzle that opens only when a positive thought is coming forth, not negativisms and derisions.

Gramps will try to continue and have hopes people will understand one day what it may be liike in another mans shoes, sometimes, it may not appear to be as one perceives.

Be well and heres hoping Apolyton continues its growth it so enjoys even this very hour!

                Bruce

i still work and have my family and dont get much sleep and well, I have to VERY humbly apologize to anyone I was out of line toward.

I just have to hang in for about 6 weeks more, thats what the length of time is approx between approval and then scheduling the operation.

But can hang, since I know its coming, not the worse I have been through emotionally just Physically hellooooo Mr Pain

You'd better sue him quickly before he gets out of town.
