    Are the United States of America really independent?

    Talking to a friend of mine the other day I mentioned a site I found online which claims that the American Revolution only achieved the illusion of independence and that the US is contrary to popular belief the US is a British puppet and not the other way around. It was argued that the United States of America are in fact a business venture, a kind of Corporation, that still legally owned by the monarchy and that this letter of the law while seemingly not enforced is in actually quite closely adhered to by “teh elites”.


    After we both had a good laugh, he said: “Why not?” And then it struck me that the idea is not that crazy.

        The British Crown is also just a puppet of the Pope though. The whole Church of England thing was just a farce.

          Bah. The OP utterly ignores the South Park episode where the Queen sent an armada of ships of the line to attack the U.S. If the opening post is correct, then that entire episode is gibberish.
