The only problem I have with Wright's beliefs is that he includes all white people.

It's just not true, I'm not sitting on a throne of black people typing to you.

It's like me saying that because we have a large black prison population, that all blacks are criminals.

      It's stupid, it's wrong and it's racist.

But, Rev. Wright really means nothing to me, so why should I care what he thinks?

      ACK!

It sounds like to me that you think a black person needs to be stupid or ignorant in order to not be prejudice.
I'm terribly confused. So you think its intelligent to be prejudiced against white folks?

But he's not actually. You have to understand that he's speaking to his own people who will understand the implied meaning of what he is saying. These kind of things are taken out of context all the time and blown out of proportion.

In and of its self, it shouldn't.

What should concern you is that apparently Oprah has better perceptive abilities than someone desiring to be president.

No, but I think it's stupid to think that white people aren't greedy. Since you will surely take that too literally, I will restate that too you so that you can understand what should be obvious. The greed of the white people has created problems in the world.

I do understand that, that is why I don't care what he has to say about white people.

He's correct, in the abstract, but not right in every case.

What are you talking about? I don't believe in morality. You will have to make a point.

I'd never want to be President, I perceive it to be a lousy job with few real benefits.

I think its stupid to use the "white" modifier when race has nothing to do with greed. Smacks of blaming a generic group of people for your personal difficulties.

As a white guy, I don't accept the blame that is being laid at my feet. And, since apparently all whites are lumped together, I have standing to make my defense.

You should actually listen with an open mind to more of what someone is saying, instead of taking something out of context and jumping to a conclusion that the person is a racist, just because he used a word that offends you.

How else do you know if someone's racist or not, other than through his words or actions? I can't gaze into his soul, ala GW.

And I've heard enough of Wright to determine that in my view he is a racist. If you haven't, then good for you. I'm not sure what it would take to make you think he's a racist, but you are entitled to your own opinion.

Just leave actions out of it since we aren't talking about that, and as far as his words go all you have done is listen to something that was taken out of context, so if you are going to judge him by that that says more about you than it does about him.

Also, even taken out of context I can understand the meaning of what he said. "White folks greed runs the world." That means that black people can be greedy too, but they don't run the world.
