The one infuriating thing about Ben and his ilk is the unfailing hubris to know what's best for people other than themselves.

Really? That seems incredible. It seems like you are just saying that. Sure it would be great if everyone treated her like she didn't have a disfiguration, but that's not going ot happen. You don't really believe that it is do you?
I've met some of them, wonderful, wonderful people, and I think that more then anything else would help her.
I think you should assume that I believe everything I am saying here, otherwise what's the point of posting?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

I think you might be assuming that sending some christian people over there to pay a pitty visit is going to make a different. That falls a bit short of people treating her as though she isn't misfigured.
I was thinking of a friend. Someone who would see her and spend time with her on a regular basis. Who would enjoy her company. I know folks like that and they are excellent people.
And where did Christian come into this?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

And I just figured that you meant some kind of christian missionary work.

That's not the way friends work. You meet someone somewhere that you find interesting and attracted to in some way.
And I just figured that you meant some kind of christian missionary work.

Can't agree. Friendships start with one thing, caring about the other person for whatever reason. What one person finds interesting is another person's dislike. I've known people like that and some of them are really good people because they aren't shallow.
I don't know. She sounds from what this short article has said that she's very lonely and feels socially isolated and ostracized by the community in general.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

Yes, she's lonely and ostracized. That hurts like hell. Why is the solution to kill her rather then treat her like a real person?

Wait, isn't this thing terminal? That's the usual case with right-to-die movements--they want to die quick and painless instead of slow and painful. Wanting to die because everyone looks at you like a freak is a bit different. I assume plastic surgery isn't practical for one reason or another.
If she isn't insane (or severely depressed, which amounts to the same thing) and honestly wants to kill herself, let her. It's immoral in my book, but as long as she's only killing herself she can make her own mistakes.

oppose lazy people getting people to do work they could very easily do themself. It doesn't even take that much effort to kill yourself. If you're worried about the mess and I have no idea why you would given the fact you won't be there, there are even was to minimize the gore. CO poisoning for instance.

Elok, about 85 percent of people with this would survive past five years.
It all depends on the cancer and whether it metastatizes elsewhere.
