It's not just the bigotry against Catholics; Hagee seems to have strange, backward ideas concerning women. He also has a hatred for gays and lesbians. He's just too much of a bigot in general, toward several different groups of people, to simply shrug this off as "no big deal."

Hagee is a bigot against various minority groups including gays/lesbians. He's also incredibly sexist when it comes to women and general. And he has no problems harboring hatred toward Catholics.
      Thank you.

I'm in no mood for DNC propaganda.

They are no friends of any practicing Catholic.

Why should you or McCain care what kind of a bigoted nutjob Hagee is? It's not like McCain is suddenly going to hate homosexuals or the RCC now, is it?

Didn't Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani also endorse McCain? Should McCain have refused their endorsements just because he disagreed with their political views?

Does that mean everyone who doesn't like Thompson's or Giuliani's politics should now not vote for McCain because he obviously agrees with their views?

Of course, political views and hate speech are not the same emotionally, but both are apparently legal, so politically, the only difference is that hate speech is a hotter potato than political views are.

If some KKK guy were to endorse Obama that would just be the KKK guy's problem. As Obama I'd happily take his money and then piss on his grave, so to speak.

You mean JFK Catholics? Cafeteria Catholics?

I said the DNC is no friend of anyone who is a practicing Catholic who follows what the church teaches. Their positions and policy are directly contradictory. No Catholic who takes their faith seriously can vote for them under any circumstances.

This article is all just DNC propaganda aimed at these folks.

Look! McCain is siding with Hagee! Obviously Catholics should vote for the only true Catholic lover party just so long as you don't get too uppity and actually believe in it.

I'm sorry. I'm just don't feel threatened by the likes of Hagee. I grew up in rural Ohio, where Catholics are something like 3% or 4% of the population and thousands of Hagees run wild. Hagee and his ilk are harmless at the local level, at least as it relates to catholics and women. At the national level, where catholics make up 24% of the population, he's even less threatening.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Yeah, who cares if just 3% or 4% of a people are being threatened. It's not like they're Jews.

Dinodoc, I don't care to trade insults with you, so I'll say it clearly. You're not near as clever as you think you are. You're Obama post is an obvious distraction. Your insults are petty. And your obsession with me is disturbing. So let it go.
