Why to flew multiple thousands of miles when you already surrounded our country with your military bases and have an entire NATO military infrastructure at your disposal?
Have we surrounded your country with our military installations? Do we attack independent countries at will? You think we are too suspicious about your "friendly" intentions when you place your radars (which will see our territory up to Ural) and counter-missiles near our borders?
Face it - you are agressors. The greatest agressors of the modern era

You mean when we go to the ports of allied/friendly countries on their invitation/agreement? Yeah I can totally see how that is the same as going out of our way to be provocative (well, provocative if you were not a laughing stock).
During that exercise the Russian task force visited Europan ports with friendly visits on agreement as well.

But I totally bet those Bears were on their way somewhere else and just HAPPENED to fly over US warships. They most definetly didn't turn right around and head home apparently having found what they were looking for, NO SIR!
Of course not (btw, are you sure that were Bears?). They flew over your warships intentionally.
      Hell, why not?

You see America has these things called allies. These are people who are our friends to such a degree we make defense a common cause. And they do this without us having to occupy them against their will or murder their politicians. I know I know, very alien to you Ruskies but amazingly that is how the rest of the world works. Go figure
Yeah, right. You Americans have a nice understanding of what an ally is and see nothing wrong in considering the coast of your ally as your own coast. Give a piece of your land to Americans for a second, they'll constract their military base there and never leave.

And again, what possible reason could you have to be doing this? We don't even do this to Iran, we certainly don't do this to you.
You did, you do, you will. We do the same.
You realize you guys are barely a blip on the radar to the US military right?
In this case, tack-off your interceptors BEFORE our planes buzz your carrier.

I think you all are missing the point. We need to Buzz something Russian with something.

                        I'm saying a B-1B over the Kremlin.

EDIT: Maybe not. A Tu-95MS has no way of harming a ship, save flying near the deck and shooting it's rear 23mm guns at it.

So we need something moar appropriate. Like a B-36 Flyover.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Tu-95 is strategic, not naval bomber, it's true. It's prime mission to fire its 6 or 16 X-55 cruise missiles (depending on modification of the plane) with nuclear warheads to the enemy targets (max. firing range of the X-55 missile is 3 000 km).
However the plane's payload can vary according to mission. The plane can carry up to 12 tons of bombs. Besides, if much smaller planes like Su-27/Su-33 can carry Sunburn missiles, I see no truble in equiping a much larger plane with that kind of anti-ship missiles. Considering that air-launched variant of sunburn weights less than 4 000 kg, Tu-95 can carry 2-3 such missiles.

Hell just send that German kid who took off from Germany in a two seater, flew over the border into East Germany and then calmly made his way over half an evil commie empire to set down in Red Square.

It was a stealth piper cub or some such I'm sure.

Roost could have been shot down a thousand times, but Gorby had no balls to destroy another civilian plane just after that Korean Boeing incident. And btw, he flew through Finland, iirc, not East Germany.
