  • I agree. Kansans like their fundies. I was just toying with the possibility...

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

              • CNN's exit poll for LA has Obama narrowly ahead (by ~8%) and Huck ahead by a hair.

Odd thing about LA. It already had its caucus (where all delegates went to McCain). So Huck might win the primary, and not get a single delegate (or get no more than a small minority of delegates) from the state...

If Huck manages to get that kind of margin in the remaining states (which, again, isn't likely), if the geographic distribution of his votes are uniform enough, he might get to delegate parity with McCain...
Then there's the question of who Romeny's delegates will flip to...

Not that Huckabee has much of a change but it's still POSSIBLE (maybe 5%?).

But it looks like Obama vs. McCain just like I predicted before Iowa

Stripping Michigan and Florida of delegates in the first place was stupid (the Dems should've done what the Republicans did and take half of their delegates away) but it makes no sense to change the rules in the middle of the contest unless you're playing Calvinball...

                        • When Clinton wins Pennsylvania (188 delegates) it will be mccain vs clinton, hero vs **** and we will see the true colors of America.

                            What does that mean?

The problem with counting on states like Pennslyvania or Ohio is that Hillary starts looking like Gulliani. You start looking a bit silly if you loose everything for a month and keep on talking about races a month or so away.

Hillary should still win Texas, but I wouldn't necessarily count Obama out in Ohio and Pennslyvania. Hillary's just going to get smacked around too many times (just like tonight) between then and now.

                              • Here's the problem for Clinton. She has nothing until TX and Ohio, and Obama will continue to talk about him versus McCain. He will sound more presidential than her, and if he can win in Ohio (and he can - the Cleveland Plain Dealer just endorsed him), then she will be in a very bad place.
