Yeah, "hindsight". That thing called paying attention when a candidate reveals over and over again that he's a dumbass while he's running for office.

Your dear George made an almost identical gaffe with regards to Pakistan when he was running for President for the first time, pretending to know a lot about Pakistan -- the thing is, back then Press had balls so they actually had to set up the trap by asking a question of Musharraf's name, not just waiting for candidate to make a big ass out of him all by himself.

    http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/presidents/george-w-bush/

in a television interview with Boston NBC affiliate WHDH, George got in way over his head when the reporter started needling him on details. He ended up sounding like he hadn't quite finished reading through the whole pile of briefing papers yet:

GOVERNOR BUSH: The new Pakistani General, he's just been elected -- not elected, this guy took over office. It appears this guy is going to bring stability to the country and I think that's good news for the subcontinent.
JOURNALIST: And you can name him?
GOVERNOR BUSH: General... I can name the general.
    JOURNALIST: And it's...?
    GOVERNOR BUSH: "General."
JOURNALIST: And the Prime Minister of India?
GOVERNOR BUSH: The new Prime Minister of India is... [pause] No.

Immediately, you know what Bush is thinking: What the hell is this? Suddenly it's time to regurgitate a bunch of names that nobody's ever heard of? Book knowledge has got nothing to do with real leadership. But when Bush tried to turn the tables on the little smartass, it didn't go well:

GOVERNOR BUSH: Can you name the Foreign Minister of Mexico?
JOURNALIST: No sir, but I would say to that: I'm not running for President.

Many people mistook episodes like this as indications of Dubya's inability to do his homework. Critics charged that he obviously possessed subnormal intelligence and/or a diminutive attention span and/or a crucial misunderstanding of what it takes to be President. Once again, the underlying problem here is the assumption that Bush believed that the Foreign Leaders of the World game was an important factor for voters. And Bush knew it wasn't. So he didn't waste his time trying to memorize a long list of names that nobody really cared about. The average person isn't a policy wonk; they couldn't name the new Prime Minister of India, and they didn't care if George could either.
Of course, most American voters were like Bush -- they didn't bother to do their homework on researching and comparing the two candidates enough to realize that Bush was monstrously incompetent. And there you are, with the government you deserve.

      actually, no

clinton was very clear in what she said

"I think it will be very difficult to have a real election. You know, Nawaz Sharif (leader of the PML-N, an opposition party) has said he's not going to compete. The PPP is in disarray with Benazir's assassination. He (President Pervez Musharraf) could be the only person on the ballot. I don't think that's a real election."
id est, clinton presumed musharraf to be on the ballot. clinton had basically heard infotainment reports from the media about upcoming pakistani elections and knew that musharraf was the leader of pakistan

she then pretended to be an expert on the matter on an cnn interview, referring to how opposition in the country is not doing well and because of that musharraf could end up being the only person on the ballot

thing is, musharraf is not on the ballot. he is the president, and the upcoming elections are parliamentary elections. no matter how much you talk bull**** about "legitimacy of the leader" and about supreme court decisions while linking to wikipedia and quoting random text which has absolutely nothing to do about this particular subject, clinton was caught with her pants down on not knowing much while pretending to be a know-it-all on the matter

You [DinoDoc] of all people should also know the meaning of the word "if" by now.
Thank you for summing up the credibility of this bs spin. Just confuse what was said and pretend that there was no error. "Actually, this is a valid point-of-view and you're just a mean personal attacker for standing up for reality " ... Since when did people become entitled for their own facts? Clinton said what she said, no amount of lectures about the validity of structure of government in Pakistan is going to change that.

At least she can say she's more informed then Huckbee after being the real president for 8 years.
Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Um. . .that was directed at Dinodoc specifically. So you wouldn't get it.

              And this:

****ing pathetic. Once you became serious about basing your career on being a lawyer, you've gradually become shameless in turning off your brain and repeating hollow talking points only designed to confuse those who don't have the time to acquire in-depth knowledge about the situation.
is a personal attack, no matter how you spin it.

You should. He'd be nice and malleable since we all know Christians care more about what other people think of them then their religion teaches.

just like I told, you are now confusing the content of this thread so casual readers wouldn't bother to read this all and find out that clinton's self-advertised "foreign policy expertise" doesn't exist.

enjoy obscuring reality in the name of partisanship, i guess

What? You make an a personal attack and now try to spin it while arguing against Imran's "spin." It is you who are out of line.

And you still don't get it. But you don't really need to. It wasn't directed at you.

There's a difference between bias and stupid interpretation though. Hence, my "if" statement. All I've asked here is for people to think about what's been said. You're the one that seems offended by that. Why do I feel like a teacher talking to you?
