Wow I just read some recent Polling info and am shocked to learn that this Huckabee guy is surging from virtual "also ran" to be edging past Guliani, how incredibly amusing

That was a placeholder for an anti-immigrant candidate. I meant Tancredo-like, more than Tancredo himself. The precise name doesn't really matter. I picked Tancredo because I figured that he's more likely than any other individual to fill this role (even though the probability of his candidacy was far smaller than 50%). If he endorsed Romney, there might be someone who's now more probable (but a Romney nomination is probably 30-40%, so that leaves plenty of leeway in the event of a Huckabee or McCain nomination). Tancredo's position is a moratorium on all immigration for about 5 years, followed by a restoration of replacement rate immigration.
That can certainly be construed as anti-immigrant.Comment
