I recommend hawaii They have lots of hospitals in ohau and they were saying they need docs. I dont know what kind of doc ur dad so i cant say if they need his kind. Hawaii is nice weather and lots of visitors from all over just very expensive.

Car insurance and pineapples are less expensive.
          Everything else is 10-20% more.

North Carolina is nice. I'd also recommend the Atlanta metro area or Tennessee.

Depends on what you want from a Southeast state, really. If you want close access to the ocean, North Carolina. If you like beautiful scenery, Tennessee. If want to live in the most civilized place in the South, Atlanta .

Uh, what about the Cleveland Clinic and University Health system, two of the largest healthcare providers in the U.S.? That's 1.5 hours in the opposite direction of Buffalo b etor. Good schools, major metro area, plenty of work.

                      I'll second Tennessee.

                      a) Cost of living not too high
                      b) Great scenery and good weather
                      c) Healthcare is big $$$ in Nashville (not to mention I've heard good things about Vanderbilt Medical as far as employee benefits and such go...)

I'll third Tennessee. I'd recomend Memphis (Germantown to be more specific) (mostly because I'm from there and love the city) although it is a hard argue to argue against Nashville. Memphis is HOT during the summer and a it is NOT a dry heat in ANY definition of the word. There is also an higher diaster risk in Memphis (higher tornado risk and it is sitting on New Madrid.) Memphis has good BBQ though

Been to Memphis once. REALLY hated it. Hot, sticky, terrible drivers, and there was... well, an odor. Maybe I was having a bad couple of days.

I'm a huge fan of Nashville -- although it's growing far too fast for its own good.

that would be Utah. Or maybe some southern state.

I lived in Nashville for a month this summer, and absolutely loved it, so consider me echoing what Jonny said. As far as Vanderbilt Medical benefits, one of the couple I lived with is an audiologist there and told me a bit about how great her benefits are.
