Erie was the band's hometown in the movie "That Thing You Do." I've eaten at the Schlotzky's there (yum), and stayed in a hotel there on my way back home from Maine a few years back.
There's not much there... although it beats Ashtabula.

I've actually stayed in Ashtabula overnight. Can't say I remember it at all.

I'd recommend Texas (I hear its an awesome place) but you rule that out for some reason.
Canada was mentioned but your dad is probably too conservative (and religious) for this country. Maybe Alberta but it certainly won't be any warmer than Erie.

Well east coast girls are hip
I really dig those styles they wear
And the southern girls with the way they talk
They knock me out when Im down there
The mid-west farmers daughters really make you feel alright
And the northern girls with the way they kiss
They keep their boyfriends warm at night
I wish they all could be california
I wish they all could be california
I wish they all could be california girls
The west coast has the sunshine
And the girls all get so tanned
I dig a french bikini on hawaii island
Dolls by a palm tree in the sand
I been all around this great big world
And I seen all kinds of girls
Yeah, but I couldnt wait to get back in the states
Back to the cutest girls in the world
I wish they all could be california
I wish they all could be california
I wish they all could be california girls
I wish they all could be california
(girls, girls, girls yeah I dig the)
I wish they all could be california
(girls, girls, girls yeah I dig the)
I wish they all could be california

Yeah, the only real urban areas are Columbia and Charleston. Myrtle Beach is urban like Orlando is urban and Spartenburg and Greenville, while having a good number of people, have central downtown or anything.
Charleston pawns Columbia. I live in Charleston
I lived in Goose Creek (just north of Charleston) when I was at the naval prototype school in the weapons station. I did like Charleston. Definately better than Norfolk. Although anything is better than Norfolk. Only disadvantage is you might not have some amenities and events like big cities. So you might not see your favorite band come through.

your father is leaving the decision of where to move to you?
Although seeing as you choose the christmas presents... I guess that's not surprising.
I'd say the pacific northwest assuming you don't mind rain.
he is not leaving the decision completely up to me, but i have more of a say in what happens than my mother does. i don't know why. because i know how to make decisions? i have no idea. we were going to move to north carolina when i was in 8th grade. everyone wanted to except me. but i said i'd go if i had to. my dad was afraid i'd turn goth and sexually active... so we stayed.
i love rain.

seems that way seeing as you are talking about gonig to a Bills game. I suppose Buffalo isn't that far from Erie (I have no idea actually)
it's less than 1.5 hours away.

I have a thing for Vermont. Don't know why, just seems like a nice place to live... Minnesota looks nice as well...
ooh i know some awesome people in vermont, but i don't want to live there.

Okay then. I thought maybe your dad "accidentally" off'd a patient in Texas and was on the run. Physician malpractice is the 8th leading (reported) cause of death. FACT.

I'm not surprised. We're all godless heathens.
