Pat Robertson, is't that the WAGAWAGA guy ?
Don't know.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

BS! She was an enabler.
But she claimed not to be "some little Tammy Wynette, standing by my man."

To be honest, I've forgotten most of Hillary's transgressions on this score.

So does this mean that Christian conservatives or at least those likely to be swayed by an endorsement by Robertson are swinging toward what is essentially a "safe, legal, and rare" opinion being put foward by Rudy's campaign wrt abortion?

Don't know. Lots of code going on. He says he will appoint strict constructionist judges to the bench. Meanwhile, he says that at the end of the day, it's up to the woman's conscience.

No. It means that either they're mindless sheep who will vote for a Republican because Pat told them to do so, even though they don't know what Rudy supports, they hate Hillary so much that they're willing to compromise their most cherished principles just to beat her, or it means that plenty of Christian Conservatives will be sitting out next November.
It is probably some combination of the three, IMO.

Care to explain why she wasn't an enabler or is a flippant response the best you can do in her defence?
I take it you like the woman but that doesn't change the reality.

Take whatever you wish. I was merely pointing out that the argument that you presented was blaming her for being cheated on.
Or were you accusing her of procuring PYTs for Bill's pleasure?

No, no and no. The argument I present is that she knew Bill was a philandering peice of **** but she stayed with him and looked the other way whenever necessary. ie. She enabled him to continue.
Personally, I think her political ambitions trumped any sort of moral outrage she should have had.

Do you think Clinton really wants to go after someone's private life? That seems like the surest way to provoke a MAD scenario.
Candidates themselves rarely directly attack opponents personal lives. Instead they get plausible deniability by having third party attack dogs do that dirty work for them, a la swift boat.
That way the candidate still looks "Presidential" while making the most petty personal attacks and lies about the other guy.
BTW did anyone really think Pat Robertson, a die hard Protestant fundamentalist, would endorse a Mormon? The fundamentalists really do consider Mormons to be a nonChristian cult.
It's not so much that Romney expected Pat's endorsement, as hoped it wouldn't go to Giuliani. Rudy needs the Christian vote to beat Romney; Romney already has a good bit of it. If Pat had endorsed someone random (Fred Thompson, say) it wouldn't have hurt Romney; this will.

The feel the same way about the Catholic Church, though, and believe that the Pope will be the Anti-Christ's right hand man. I wasn't sure which they hated more.

I think this is hilarious and quite telling. Not only are Robertson and Giuliani pretty far apart on the whole moral minority issue package, I think Robertson is one of those "America caused 9/11 by not burning gays on the stake" kind of guys, so his support of Mr 9/11 is all the more audacious. An unholy matrimony.
