British Court Rules Gore's Convenient Lie Wrong on 11 Counts
The guy is a truck driver by profession and a member of the New Party for whom he stands for in elections. His complaint was politically motivated - or he is politically motivated in general.
Not saying it as a bad thing, just perspective.

Gore is vindicated here, at least in part, because what he wants most is for his movie to be discussed. If his movie is discussed, then climate change will be discussed as well.
This decision says his movie can be discussed in the class room so long as there is guidance by teachers explaining the parts where it loses scientific validity.
Doesn't Gore deny this, and maintain his work is correct in its entirety?

If Gore's premise is correct, fine, but if there is proof of it that he could have presented instead of the drival he actual put forward he should have.
I don't see any indication that Gore nor any of the filmmaking team were parties to the action.
Are they really that desperate for class material in the UK?

Considering they created, researched, shot, edited, marketed, and accepted all the now undue praise for the film, I highly doubt that

News and opinion from The Times & The Sunday Times
Despite finding nine significant errors the judge said many of the claims made by the film were fully backed up by the weight of science. He identified “four main scientific hypotheses, each of which is very well supported by research published in respected, peer-reviewed journals and accords with the latest conclusions of the IPCC”.
In particular, he agreed with the main thrust of Mr Gore’s arguments: “That climate change is mainly attributable to man-made emissions of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide (‘greenhouse gases’).”
The other three main points accepted by the judge were that global temperatures are rising and are likely to continue to rise, that climate change will cause serious damage if left unchecked, and that it is entirely possible for governments and individuals to reduce its impacts.

But look at the OP. It repeatedly refers to the "Government's expert," not to "Gore's expert." And costs were apportioned to the Government, not to Gore.
[quote[I am not claiming that we should hold people accountable for honest mistakes.
On the other hand, we should have absolutely no mercy for those who make dishonest "mistakes".[/quote]
And how do we determine who disbelieved in good faith? Sounds like a bit of a catch to me: "You couldn't have possibly been honestly sceptical because the science was so obvious. Although, if you held your disbelief honestly you won't be killed, the science was so obvious that you must have known the truth. Therefore, you must die".
Do you intend to prove this in a court of law before having the ungoodthinkers shot?
Somehow I think that Aggie is a strong supporter of :
To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary... These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
