You really are an ignorant sod sometimes. Maybe you should read more before you judge?

In recent years, the Norwegian committee has broadened its interpretation of peacemaking and disarmament efforts outlined by Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel in creating the prize with his 1895 will. The prize now often also recognizes human rights, democracy, elimination of poverty, sharing resources and the environment.

      Idiot.

@ Oerdin: Then I stand by my previous stance that the Prize should either be named to the "Atta Boy" Prize or scrapped altogether because it is straying from its original mission.

Except there wouldn't be a conflict to "stick" at water rights if the Muslims didn't already have a giant "stick" up their collective arse about the Jews moving into the neighborhood.

Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Turkey and the PA have so far done quite alot, both over-the counter and under-the-counter to advance solutions of clear water issues, and solving water disputes.

Israel is supplying water to Jordan due to the peace accords.
Israel and Syria have basically reached silent understandings regarding water.
Israel continues supplying water to some areas in southern Lebanon which do not have Lebanese infrastructure, IIRC.
Israel continues supplying water to the PA, despite the conflict.

Neither Israeli-Palestinian peace summit got stuck on practical water Issues, and all of them were stuck on religious and national ethos (dividing holy areas / refugees).

So you're welcome to stop spreading inventions by orientalists and far-left movements intending to rationalize the Palestinian drive to violence.

Yes, but your new wall is incorporating Palestinian wells into the newly acquired territory. A number of Palestinian farmers are going bankrupt because of that. I'm sure that's sparking up tensions. At least that's what I pick up from time to time.

This whole thread is a great laugh from the OP on down. The impotent rage of the right wingers is just so amusing.

                  True.

But if we dig deeper we see that the reason for building the security fence, is a tirade of suicide bombers entering Israel. Something which the fence stopped.

I'm sure you would agree that a suicide bomber frenzy a-la March 2002, could do plenty to 'spark tension'.

Btw, you should really stop using the word "wall" to describe the security fence as 95% of it is just a high double fence.

It is only walled when it is adjustant to areas from which there was direct sniping at Israelis living on the other side of the barrier's path.

also let's end threadjacking fr the millennium

While I agree with that, I also think giving the peace prize to Al Gora is a big joke. Michael Moore would be more deserving, if the movie is the reason.

Given the published guidelines I'm not sure what's wrong with selecting Gore. After all helping the environment is one of the listed categories.

Except it's all crap, and people with a scientific background ought to be able to see through that kind of political crap to the scientific crap that fails to undergird it.

There's no problem, because the Peace Prize was already meaningless.
