People don't hate Falwell simply because he was a fundamentalist Christian, but because he was an evil little man who, unfortunately, had the power to influence people. I'm not sure what the extent of his influence was. He certainly had the power to corrupt people's minds with his retarded beliefs (I'm not saying that Christianism is retarded. I'm saying that Falwell's version of it was.) And these beliefs could have had a direct impact on these people's lives and of the lives of people around them.
