So Sylar and Peter can each absorb ALL of each otehr's power ??

OH and I think that Sylar is just a sadistic SOB-- he could just use telekinesis to subdue "paint-the -future dude" yet he chooses to pin the guy by impaling him in a few places.

Even if he thought he needed to kill them, I doubt he thinks he needs to peel off their skulls while they are alive

Doesn't Sylar eat their brains or something? Mind you, I've only seen like 3 episodes.

It still didn't seem that he was absorbing them, just that he could store and recall them. That's what Peter's revelation was during his fight with the invisible guy, that he had to remember how he felt when he was around the people he got the powers from and then he could use their power. If he was actually around the person, then it was automatic, but if they weren't around he had to do some sort of empathic index back to them.

Though, maybe if it was anybody but Claire who pulled the glass out of his head he wouldn't have come back...maybe since she was there the automatic mimicking kicked in even after he was dead.

We've seen Sylar take a few bullets and get up moments later; why exactly does he need Claire's power, since it appears he's already got it?

And if Peter absorbed telekinesis from Sylar, does that mean he absorbed all of Sylar's pilfered powers?
When did sylar ever take a bullet? I've completely forgotten about that.

I think he wasn't quite dead, just mostly dead. He had retriggered claires abilities before he was killed (that gaping head wound closed) and he probably ended up in exactly the same state that claire was when she had been impaled.

Parkman plugged him a couple times in the basement of that police station, when he was using his TK to make that FBI agent turn her gun on herself.

We then saw him stand up and levitate(?) away.

I think HRG also shot him a couple times when he was threatening Mrs. Bennett.

                Incidentally:

HRG, Parkman, & Ted = greatest superhero team ever.

Although, knowing what could be coming, why on Earth would HRG want to take Ted anywhere near NYC?

Well, this may be somewhat of a spoiler, but if you look at the comic books online after the ep where HRG shot Sylar, you'll note it wasn't healing power.

I'm thinking that it is just telekinesis which lets him stop the bullets from going farther in him (when he is surprised by shooting) and then he expels it from his body.

So, you're thinking that, or that's what happened in the online comic? I'm confused.

                    I mean, more than usual.

Well, using what was in the comic, I'm speculating it was telekinesis on the bullets.

In the comic, after HRG shot Sylar:

                      Spoiler:
                      Sylar was stiching himself up

Peeling the skulls though is a recurring part of what he does to absorb others powers, though didn't he ay one time say he was investigating them to see what made their powers? Perhaps by "learning" about the nature of the powers gives him better ability to control them. OTOH maybe he's just nuts, like a kid dissecting frogs alive just to see the heart beat.............. and stop beating.

Yeah... even before he ever killed anyone (or so we're led to believe), he told Papa Suresh, "I just... see how things work." That seems to be his base power; by examining (consuming?) the brains of others, he's able to see how they work, and replicate their powers.

Peter's more empathic, Sylar's more analytical.

(I guarantee that Peter's prophetic dreams come from absorbing his mom's power.)
