My vote is still with him losing focus. But as for the touching people unfreezing them idea, I think he can control who he does and doesn't want to freeze. It isn't an indirect effect.

I don't think we have a clear idea of the relationship between Linderman, Ma Patrelli, the Eric Roberts guy's organization, and Hiro's dad.

I am quite skeptical that they are all in the same organization all pulling in the same direction for the same objectives. There has to be more complexity there.

Also remember that Patrelli is in league with the Haitian, and the Haitian is working against the Organization.

I do think Bennet is legit.

Bennet is probably the only one who is legit from the organization (well, him and the invisible man, what's his name). The rest have some other agendas and we can't be sure what until we know what the long term outlook for the plan is.

But why would he bring Ted to NYC? He's seen Isaac's painting, he knows what is to come. Why would he facilitate it, unless he knows Ted has ****-all to do with the bomb?

Because maybe he doesn't know that much about it. He knows a bomb goes off, but it doesn't have to be Ted. Maybe it is a result of him, but maybe it isn't. And Bennet may not know the plan that far ahead.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be Ted. But why take the risk, unless he either knows it isn't Ted, or knows it is Ted and wants it to happen?

One last thought, and I'm off to work for the night:

Remember when we first met Ted, when Parkman and that FBI chick were tracking him, and he said something like, "Maybe if you shoot me, I go off like a bomb and take out the whole city," implying he'd totally lose control and might explode?

What if that is true? What if no one explodes, unless someone tries to kill them? I.e., Sylar doesn't explode unless stabbed by Hiro, Peter doesn't explode unless shot by Claire? What if's Isaac's paintings are self-fulfilling, that only by trying to stop the exploding man, the exploding man explodes?

And Linderman has realized this, thus his back-up plan with Micah?

Of course Peter should have been a bit smarter about letting himself get near Ted. He should have ran the moment he saw him and kept a safe distance. He knew exactly how it was going to happen and has no excuse for letting himself absorb Ted's power.

The further this story progresses, the more I think that the bomb will be something other than Peter. I guess we'll find out next week! (My guess is that Parkman will be able to calm Peter down like he did with Sprague when they first met.)

The clips for the next episode showed Peter in a less distressed demeanor probably meaning that he didn't blow up or get shot in the head.

I see that I was right about Sylar eating brains.

Personally, I don't think the bomb will go off. For one, the show is called Heroes, not Losers. Another, they probably wouldn't want to lose the NYC backdrop for season 2. An exploded NYC would require more sets and more money.

Is there more to Molly's power than just finding people? If all she can do is find Sylar, would the guy say she is the only one who can defeat him?

The scenes with Sylar and his mom were excellent.

After she finds them she can make little paper dolls of them and do whatever she wants to them. She can make them dance, or attend a tea party, or feed them to Mr. Biggles, or wipe her butt with them, or anything.

If someone ever does a parody of Heroes this would be a good idea for a skit.

In th last episode didn't they imply that the bomb might be Sylar masquerading as Peter, but incredibly he survived and began masquerading as Nathan.

Well, Ted does just fine when he basically blows up a house, even though everyone else's skin melts. Clearly part of Ted's power is that he's immune to his own destruction.
