They weren't really prophetic, though; at least, not in a "this is going to happen" sort of way, the way Peter knew his brother was in a car wreck, etc. They were more introspective, subconscious trying to speak to him sort of dreams.

I'm not ruling out Mohinder as a "hero," mind you; I just think it'd be better if he weren't.

I agree that it would be better if he weren't. But his sister was, and they seem to be establishing that this is genetic and runs in families.

I totally agree about the prophetic dreams of Ma Patrelli.

btw, the Mystery Sock name is pretty cool. Took me a bit to figure it out.

WRT Sylar, I think that since his base power is to "see how things work", he just has to look at the brains of a 'hero' and he automatically knows how to use any powers they have.

I pictured the heroes' powers to be 'hard-wired' into their brains, in which case, how would Sylar be able to mimic them? He should just know how they work. So, if that's the case, he would also have to have the power to 're-wire' his own brain to be able to use what he's learned.

It's also possible that, in the show's reality, anybody is actually capable of using these powers. They just need to know how to use them first.


WRT Mohinder's dreams, from what I understood, there was a boy from the neighbourhood who has the power to enter people's dreams. So, maybe the boy sensed something troubling Mohinder and showed him those dreams.

BTW, where does "Mystery Sock" come from?

So, a LOT of questions arise about what in the Hell is going on in what timeline. If Claire is still alive, that means Sylar can't regenerate. That probably means in the new timeline Hiro doesn't stab Sylar. But past Hiro goes back so he can stab Sylar and stop what happened in this episode from happening (the new new timeline?).

So in the original timeline, Sylar is stabbed, but it doesn't matter because he absorbed Claire's power. And Sylar becomes the bomb (also means Peter doesn't meet Claire, so he can't heal scars). When future Hiro goes back and warns Peter, Peter saves the cheerleader, and then Peter becomes the bomb (but if Peter never meets Claire how in the Hell does he survive being the bomb?)... but NYC still goes up in flames. Present Hiro goes back and is supposed to stab Sylar and kill him... but that still leaves the question of Peter being the bomb.

ARGH!!

This is now officially the best show on television, by a country mile.


In the original future (before Hiro went back to talk to Peter), Sylar got Claire's power, and survived being stabbed, and became the bomb. (And eventually killed D.L., Candice, and Nathan.)

In the altered future (after Hiro's warning), Sylar did not gets Claire's power, but Peter lost control and became the bomb. Sylar may or may not have been stabbed; if so, he survived somehow. He still gained the other powers and became Prez.

Now, young Hiro still believes killing Sylar will stop the bomb; it is unclear whether or not he knows Peter is the bomb, or if he knows how to stop that. Hell, the drawing in the comic book may even be Hiro stabbing Peter...


Great scenes in this one. Matt and Hiro, Matt and Bennett, Bennett and Claire, Peter and Future Hiro. ("Should I stop time?" "No, it's been a while since I've had a good fight.")

Incidentially, are we supposed to know this Molly person Future Hiro spoke to Bennett about, or do I just have a faulty memory?

One more thought:

Is it possible that our radioactive friend Ted is just a red herring? Might he and his power have nothing at all to do with the nuke? Maybe Sylar and/or Peter absorb so many powers that they just pop? It seems that whomever gets Claire's power goes boom...

Molly is the little girl that Parkman found hiding after Sylar killed her parents.

At this point I think Micah is the source of the explosion, not Peter or Sylar. They've already established that there are limits on how much you can change the future...Hiro's first attempt to stop the bomb just shifted the cause from Sylar to Peter. I suspect his second attempt is just going to shift it from Peter to whatever toy Micah is building for Linderman.

The Linderman Act was mentioned as something requiring those with powers to be round up or register or outlawed... gives some clue as to what Linderman is up to.
