they took away money from the trust fund and lowered the contributions to the trust fund. how is that our generations fault?

Are they as much at fault as the generation before them that put all this pork into place?

Baby boomers should get what they paid into the system. That is only fair.

As for us, we shouldn't be forced to pay into the system. If the system is bankrupt, well that's not our fault. A contract is a contract is a contract. If baby boomers paid into social security, then they should get out what they paid in.

I would agree with the position that Baby boomers are spoiled brats that act as if they made this country great while just hanging on the coattails of the preceding generation.

They didn't just hang on the coattails of the Greatest Generation; that would have been disappointing, but not really that terrible. No, during the 60's and 70's the Boomers actively set out to destroy everything their parents' generation had built. Then, once the 80's rolled around and they had completely ****ed society up, they did an about face and abandoned everything they had previously claimed to hold dear, transforming from a bunch of idealistic hippies into a bunch of greedy Yuppies. The only real constant for the Boomers was their ever-present self-absorption and sense of entitlement. Seriously, how can you not hate these moronic, narcissistic hypocrites?

of course, not all boomers are *******s. but when you look at the averages, the generation that in europe and the USA was born 1945-1964 managed to **** up so many things, it's not even funny. and then they had the gall to take the moral high ground and congratulate each others for it, pretend that they were doing it for some sort of moral revolution while all they were doing was destroying all that was good and beautiful for their own short-term benefit. luckily, their last remnants are soon out of power

My experience with members of the generations following the boomers is that they are absolutely incapable of accepting personal responsibility for ANYTHING. When something goes wrong it is always someone else's fault. I think the coming years should be rather interesting.
