Most of the people using the Dubai slope were beginners, as you would imagine in such a country. I think thats kind of what they are going for when you build it in a place so far from snow, the novelty factor.

Sure-- Is that the slope of the Fort Worth snow park? Because that is what I was referring to . .. . in 75 acres and with limited vertical its tough to make a run either steep or challenging enough to interest and experienced skier for long.

AS someone said, this is probably aimed at beginners and as I said, if they have enough attractions, it might be a Disneyland type attraction. It just strikes me that it night be expensive to build and the cooling bill would be aweful

As a matter of fact, there is a Disneyland Matterhorn ride.

I really dont see that. While I havent skiied much the last few years, when I did was sort of an intermediate - I could ski all the blue slopes, and I could do a black diamond, but very inelegantly.

But since I skiied only about once a year, it took me usually a solid day to get back to that level. First run or two on the bunny slopes, than alot of blue runs.

If I could prep by doing some bunny slope runs near home, before a ski trip, that would be useful. Though I might not be willing to pay enough for it.

Yes, that lameass post was certainly an all-around waste.

Same can be said about swimming pools.

In fact, why isn't anyone arguing that if you want to swim you should go to the sea?

I asked that and got ignored. Maybe you'll have better luck.

swimming is excersize, this is not. Or very minimal at least.

Are you talking about skiing? Have you skiied before? I can't ski for more than 4 hours because I get so exhausted, and I can go hiking all day.

(I haven't went swimming in ages, but I would actually guess that the amount of time I can do both activities is similar)

You can ski intensely for a lot longer than you can swim intensely.

BTW, why have you been trying to ruin my fun recently Kuci? Not that I was trying to have fun in this thread.

I think you use "you can" too liberally. I would imagine there are marathon swimmers that can't ski a bit.
