There are 3 indoor ski slopes in Belgium already, 5 in the Netherlands and twice as much in the rest of Europe. Do you really believe they'd be building those things if money can't be made of it?

The thing might work but if the slope is all super easy runs, an experienced skier type couldn't be bothered IMHO even if it were very close and cheap. So the market is probably amusement park types and maybve even some people that want to try skiing without incurring the major costs of travel to a major resort.
I could see that if they had losts of cool rides or games it could be sorta a snow Disneyland and get lots wanting to escape the heat. Itr may succeed commercially on that basis . . I don't have the background to know-- Plus maybe aerobatic skiiers and halfpipe boarders could have a decent facility in limited space
But for actual skiing?? I'm pretty new to the sport and I think I would be bored with those little slopes with little variety.
So could work but I wouldn't think that experienced skiiers would be a huge market for them except to the extent they would want their lesser ability spouse or friends to go and practice so they don't hang up the crowd when they go to a real mountainYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

Actually, scratch that. Investors decide to put down tons of their own money for terrible ideas all the time.

1. much cooler weather than Texas
2.a very different culture than Texas
I wouldn't think that success in one place would say much either way about the chances for success in the other.
I do however believe that most peoople investing that kind of coin would have done adequate due diligence to have a good sense of the marketYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

If me, I know there are Texan skiiers . . . probably a lot of them. I just don't see a hardcore or skilled skier hitting a bunny hill destination more than once. If pricing is reasonable it might get decent usage from its immediate area. If it has enough attractions, it could become a stand-alone destination like a DisneyworldYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

It's also not a ski hill, which again display how Texans know nothing on the subject..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

You realize several Arab states in the gulf already have this, right? Dubai's had it for years.
And Dubai is the only such slope in the Middle East, and it just opened along with the Emirates mall a little over a year ago. BEST MALL EVER! Anything you want is there, annd cheaper than the US/Europe.
Dubai in general just rocks. Been there four times now and it never gets old."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.
