even skiing on natural snow here isnt as good. Im not sure why, maybe its cause youre likely to be skiing on stuff that fell several days ago, that has been skiied on by thousands, and has melted, frozen, melted again, etc, rather than on fresh powder.Originally posted by Jon Miller

Well, there's all kinds of snow, and it depends on the constructions of the snow. Usually machine snow is pretty crappy, depends how much they have to 'shoot it'. Sometimes it's fairly OK. And it so depends, there's all kinds of attributes in snow and the environment, the density of it and all, that all contributes into how the actual snow feels when riding it.
I think it's cool they do this in Texas. It won't be like the Dubai place, that just sucks ass!! That looks really really horrible, plus also really really expensive for such a horrible slope

A) It's jungle hot outside. What a great time to go to the indoor snow park.
B) Because people are trying to escape the jungle hot by going to the snow park, it frees up the beach a little bit, as well as other outdoor facilities.

That Dubai thing -- Is there a slope there anywhere?
Skiing to me is where you leave your car at the base and can ski a vertical drop of say 3500 feet.
Wow that park will have 15 acres of skiable terrain !!!THat so compares to the 3300 at a mountain like Sunshine!!!
Seriously though, if people want to create a little indoor snow park, it could be a bit of fun. It would definitely be a relief from the oppressive heat to enjoy the cold for a while.
