Quebec's official language is french. Education is of provincial domain in Canada.

I mean, as an immigrant, who at the time spoke English reasonably well, but not French I was put into a French school where I was reasonably expected to lose a year learning the language in an "acceuil" class before I could begin the real education. Fortunately, I was too smart
You could have easily moved to an english speaking US state or Canadian province. You chose a province with french as its official language.

But Quebec offers English-language education to some, but not to others. The distinction is purposely drawn to limit the spread of English in the province,
      Absolutely.

...which fits quite well into the general attempt to wipe out English in Quebec.
That's bat**** stuff man. Quebec wants to wipe out english in the province? The same province surrounded by over 300 million english speaking people?
      What?

Ain't just Ontario. I'm unaware of any province in Canada that doesn't offer public education in French.

Based on their website, it seems to mean independent in everything but name.

Yeah, indoctrination of a new generation of separatists is fine.

I was too The city is waaay more French than it was 15 years ago. There's signs only in French, that really need to be in multiple languages. I mean, who in their right mind posts a sign saying: "Emergency vehicles only." or something like that only in French in a city 90km from the American border. I mean, maybe if you had some sort of picture that also conveyed this point like a do not enter sign.

They were back in 1995, but as separatism has lost some support they've switched. I have no respect at all for the ADQ. I'd almost rather the PQ than them.

And no, that's not a good thing.
