JM: It's not worth your time. Spec has it in his head that Tesla spent a couple hundred million on R&D for the motor and battery pack. This for something that doesn't work well anyway. It's just prejudice, you see. Hang the facts: That Tesla spent only a low number of millions of dollars on these things as opposed to the hydrogen R&D running into the billions, with little to show for it.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Also, there is usually no transmission
The Tesla has a 2-speed manual transmission.

You argue like my ex-girlfriend.
The millions I was talking about were spent by all companies combined. For no good reason imo, because we already know that all cars can be converted to hydrogen. Why do all the research? I dont see the point.

Your ex-gf probably was trying to talk some sense into you. Apparently, you're too far gone.
The big R&D money for Lithion-Ion batteries has already been spent to support laptops, iPods, and the like. Don't put your harsh on Tesla because they got that R&D essentially for free, while hydrogen still has to spend its billions.
But hey, you and George Bush are all for the hydrogen economy.

You're fvcking plugged dude...Buy some Drano and drink it please. I'll write this in caps so you might understand.
I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST TELSA OR WHATEVER MAKE OR MODEL! I HATE THE ELECTRIC ENGINE FOR WHAT IT IS!! NOT TELSA, THE ELECTRIC ENGINE!! ALL COMPANIES IMO WASTED TONS OF MONEY TRYING TO INVENT AN ELECTRIC ENGINE WHEN WE KNOW THAT EVERY CAR OUT THERE USING A PISTON ENGINE CAN BE CONVERTED TO HYDROGEN!! ITS A WAIST OF RESSOURCES IMO!!
IS THAT CLEAR!?!
omg!!!

This is a sports car, it is meant to have power and maneuverability. I don't see why it is so hard for you to consider that it might actually have such things? That it might be different than the other electric cars?
I am not saying you have to like it. You obviously wouldn't if you like the smell of gas...

Spec: Yes, of course hydrogen could be done today. If it weren't for that giant conspiracy...

Yea. I dont like the smell of gas, thats not the point, and never said that anywhere also...I'm wondering if you guys actually read my posts or are you just blazing threw them. Hydrogen leaks out as water behind the exhaust.
But basicly, you get the point, I dont HAVE to like it.
