  • Recommend Dis a new car

I'm getting bored with life. And need something to spice it up. I'm looking for a sports car specifically. Someone mentioned a Supra in another thread. I'm curious about this car. Can anyone provide details? Yeah I know I can just look it up on the internet. In fact, I think I will. But any recommendations about this car would be helpful. edit: hmm, it seems they stopped manufacturing in 2002. I could buy used I suppose, but would rather not. I want a Japanese sports car though. So any recommendations in that area would be helpful. I'm sure Asher could provide something. I used to own a Ford Mustang GT. It was a fast car at 300 HP, but there were some things I wasn't happy about it.

And just for fun, recommend cars that you think suit me. Pics would be better.

Great little car for getting around downtown Las Vegas...

hmm, yes just what I want with all these *******s driving around in tanks.

I could go on a huge rant about this. But I think people are pussies. What do they need a friggin tank for!! Families are a lot smaller than they were 50 years ago, and people didn't need tanks back then. ****ing Ford Excursions. I wish I could take an RPG to every one of them. Same with Suburbans. Die!

      I feel better now.

I was going to say, I thought you got a Mustang relatively recently. What happened to it?

For reasonably priced, I like the Mini Cooper.

''Someone'' mentionned a Supra? You know damn well it's me!

So, if you want something new, I recommend an RX-8. 4 doors, well, 2 normal and 2 suicide doors. 4 seats with ''good'' leg room. 255hp, easily tunable to 300hp with slight exhaust and intake mods. 2 hours tops and you can do it yourself. I can tell you how exactly.

As for the Supra, yes, they stopped making it in 2002...but thats in Japan. In the US they stopped in 1997 and in 95 in Canada. Its a 320hp engine with the best reliabilty for a turbo charged engine. Easily tuinnable to 400hp with minor mods. Also has incredible handling that even today surpasses some of the best top end cars.

I also recommend a 350Z. Great handling with ''low'' consumption for its power (297hp). Not as easy to tune since its not a rotary or a turbo charged car. But still a great ride anyhow. As for reliability....I wouldn't know. I've heard horror stories as well as very stasfied customers.

Thats pretty much what I recommend for the same price range.

And never ever say ''someone'' when you damn well know its me Dis! What disrespect!

I always liked the look of the Mazda RX models. The RX-8 looks sweet. If I were the type to buy a sporty car, that would probably be it.

                  Awwww. Thanks Arry.

I'll probably buy an 78-85 rx7 one day to complete the set. It's really not expoensive. I could get one in decent condition for 3000$ CAD

If you buy an RX8 Dis, remember one very important thing, a rotary engine consumes oil naturally. It has a metering pump the shoots engine oil in the combustion chamber to lubricate the housings. ALWAYS check your oil every time you put gas in just to be sure.

Even the salesman dont know this. And people say that rotaries are not reliable and they dont even know how to treat them right. If you run lean on oil, say goodbye to your engine.

I modified my RXs to run with premix. Which means that I removed the oil metering pump which shoots oil in the combustion chamber, plug the holes in the housing with screws. What I do now is that I add 2 cycle oil in my gas every time I go to the pump so that the car never uses the engine oil. There is already oil in the gas. The mix is 1/100 and my engine oil level always stays the same.

                      Never had any problems whatsoever.

                          Yea...right

0-60 in for seconds...sure...Do that 4 times and your battery is dead.

                          Top speed of about 180km/h

Also, if you use accesories (wipers, heater, defroster, radio), you lose mileage...So its a sure no no for northern countries.

And the sound of an electric motor is boring compared the combustion engines.

                          Electric car

                          Hydrogen car

Same as piston engine AND it doesn't pollute.

Have you driven in this car? Have you ever even heard a review from somebody who has driven this car?

You're a prejudiced man, Spec. Shame on you.

No I am not. I dont need to drive a car to know that accessories consume electricity and reduces mileage. Neither to know that an electric engine's sound is boring. And the rest.
