Why has CivFanatics overtaken Apolyton in members?

Well I take the bright side of it, SP vs MP did have quite some thread coverage here and most of them were flame wars. I don't mind separating the "Marathon Game on Huge Map" crowd from the "Shaka or Mansa? Duel Map? Balanced?" crowd, without saying any side is right. They're just too different.

What we need is more spam to overtake CFC . No, but really I do think that Apolyton has a bit of hostility to n00bs with the "DL dance" and all that stuff, it makes some think this place was/is too stuck up. There is a close knit community here... which makes it fun for us that have been around for a while. But perhaps for any new folks, it causes them to run to other places.

I hear this complaint a lot, but I can't think of any poster who's been scared away because of a DL dance. It didn't work on Drixnak, unfortunately, nor on AAHZ or Will9.
