Cyndi Lauper totally rocks, Dis. And Supertramp was great - before they became an arena band.
Generally speaking, I'm proud of my taste in music. Most of my guilty pleasures involve overcooked arena rock, cheesy pop songs with great production, or artists I worked with professionally. Stuff like:
Boston - 1st album (amazing production; the worst of arena rock)
The Cars - 1st album (the whole thing loops together @ 120 beats/min -- audacious)
Wang Chung - Everybody Wang Chung Tonight
Grand Funk - We're An American Band
Various Hair Bands - (Can you say Warrant?)
I'm sure there are plenty more in my deep and hidden past. Damn, now I've got Wang Chung recycling endlessly in my brain...
Thanks for reminding me...Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Hmm, I guess I have to fess up about liking some of the Grease songs. I should be forgiven though, as the damned thing came out when I was about 8 or 9.
dis, why are you ashamed of liking the scorpions?? they totally rock!
Yeah, I'm sure it is....when you're a 14 old girl.Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I see no reason to be ashamed of liking Mötley Crüe or the Scorpions.
Maybe feeling ashamed about music has to do with being younger, facing peer pressure and ridicule. I'm older now, I like what I like, and if you don't, fine.
I even like some Ratt, Warrant and Poison.
Now the Cars, Journey and Styx don't fit in with heavier stuff, but I like them. I like Pat Benetar, though I never actually bought anything. But I wouldn't change the channel/radio station because she was on.

Britney Spears - Toxic & Everytime
I really like these songs.
Anything I'd ever like of Pet Shop Boys makes me feel guilty
Two Hearts by Phil Collins - it's a shameless pop, but I like it.
Yeah, some Scorpions' songs are cheeesy yet so touching.
Bangles - well, perhaps I am a bit ashamed

OK first of all, even though Kriss Kross' Jump is good.
Beastie Boys isn't bad.
Body Count is OK.
Cypress Hill isn't bad.

It was big here too, but rather some time ago. And yeah, I liked it too, but then Im hopelessly unhip."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber
