But deal with the reality-- Some guys take your living space today-- I don't care what "should" be . . . Its today with eight homeless guys in your living room. What do you do ?

Why?? People buy things at an open auction and in full accordance with the law.

I can understand them being upset with the city. AS I understand it, it is lefty-governed so these kids might have a beef with their lefty bretheren.

Also arguments about long usage etc etc are all part of tgheir beef with the city.

          • Are you brain dead, or are you just continually spewing a lie? This isn't a place for youth activities. It's not about a bunch of scateboarders losing a place to scateboard. Lenin gave speeches in that building. This is a historic facility for left wing political activity.
            Oh, I see. It's a shrine.

You've been harping on the religious angle, Kid, but methinks you were focusing on the wrong religion.

I know nothing about the protestors or the people who hold the deed to the building they where occupying.

I simply support anyone who is fighting against hierarchal oppresion and governance. **** the police.

The idea that a philosphy has to be the ultimate and universal turth and be upheld to with 100% purity is absurd, particularly when speaking of hypothetical situations. I can turn around and say, so you believe that the police protect society and uphold hold civil order. What do you do when you're in the wrong place at the wrong time and get wrongfully convicted, or a cop with an attitude problem decides to take it out on you? They were given **** for free for a long time. When this sweetheart deal was ended, they not only complained (without a ****ing leg to stand on, AFAIC), they turned violent. Of course, that's the fault of the police, who are like Hitler...

Nope because I know there are imperfections in the system. I never believed otherwise and I doubt that even with the greatest imaginable possible diligence, there would continue to be imperfections and mistakes. But I do believe in the rule of law nonetheless.

                      I prefer it to anarchy.

That was kinda the point. Kid has all these wonderful theories but apply them to reality and I suspect they crumble pretty quickly.

Oh and add to that the fact that the defenders keep harping on the identity of the purchaser like it meant something. If you switched the identities of the parties -- ie had a longstanding Christian club bought out by radical leftists, my views on all this would be unchanged.
