I don't know where you are but there's a housing boom ...or shortage... Housing is cheap here in MI.

It's getting to a point where you can't give the stuff away.

And Wichita is a wonderful city, but I like Topeka best.

I think what Flubber and others object to is the sense of entitlement. You sound like someone owes you a place to live, and that's not so. Just because a person has lived in a given apartment for a certain amount of time does not entitle them to continue living there should they fail to pay the rent.

In your job, you presumably provide a service of some sort or another, do you think that if your employer pays you regularly for 10 years they are entiled to one year free?

Well that's not it, and I've been trying to make that clear. I know that I am not entitled to a lower rent, just like people are not entitled to lower taxes. That's my point really.

I just thought he was headed into that rent is exploitation argument again. But he didn't. If its merely a complaint that he feels prices are too high, I can commiserate
