People shouldn't post an OP with political conclusions in it unless they want people to comment on those political conclusions. If you wanted a memorial thread then it was blown in the OP.

Yes I know it's really only for the grieving relatives. But since they aren't here to read this forum (I think), I really don't get too upset at people badmouthing the recently dead. People are doing the same to Saddam Hussein. Who knows, maybe Saddam was a good father.

You're honestly attempting to defend the posting of highly charged political statements IN THE OP and then whining when people respond?!

That's a bit much even by your standards. If the purpose was just as a memorial thread then avoid the political spin doctoring and just make it a memorial thread but stop the assinine political nonsense in the OP and then whining when someone responds.

                      ...And why not??

It was his Muslim brothers who launched the ground attack that brought down the Taliban; it was his Muslim brothers who captured the Mastermind of the 9/11 attacks; it was his Muslim brothers who capture and/or killed the majority of al Qaeda's leadership; and it is his Muslim brothers who are the majority of our casualites in the War on Terror.

I don't know what's up with Oerdin. He mouths leftist platitudes most of the time, but every once in a while he goes off on fascist rants. Maybe he has multiple personality disorder.

Imran's Pakistani, as far as I know, and Pakistan supported the Taliban, which means they're pretty clearly opposed to the Northern Alliance forces who did most of what you just gave all Muslims credit for.

Come to think of it KH isn't very liberal either. I'm pretty centrist on everything except for the death penalty (I'm for it so that's rightist), I'm pro-free trade (rightist) but also want free movent of labor (leftist but good economics for employers and consumers), pro-military spending but anti-waste (meaning unneeded contracts) and anti-no bid contracts, don't agree with the war in Iraq but don't want an immediate withdrawl, agree with a big boost in troop numbers in Afghanistan, want more diplomacy and less cowboy antics out of the white house, and am rabidly anti corruption (since Republicans controlled all branches of government until recently that all to often meant being anti-Republican; they ran the pony show so poop bag is theirs to hold).

All in all pretty centrist. I do understand that Oggie & Drake like to smear people rather then debate though so I understand why they're constitently attempting to misrepresent my positions as extremist. It's a big MEH to me. This week I'm accused of being a neo-communist liberal and last week I was accused of being a facist rightwinger. Same **** new week.

If by "supported" you mean that, after 9/11, Pakistan cut diplomatic relations with Afghanistan, permitted overeflights by the U.S. in order to attach the Taliban and launched their own ill-fated offensive up into their northern provinces in an attempt to capture Taliban and al Qaeda members, then you're right.
