  • Don't know why you have a lot of disappointment with the 360 unless you've never bought a console in its first year before.

You're disappointed with the Wii in the first few weeks.

This is a really annoying trait you have -- you try to sneak in some "victories" by taking a simple observation and trying to make it a universal rule.

Disappointment is what happens when expectations are not met. My expectations for the Wii were low, and they were still not met. Overpriced for underpowered hardware with no games making truly innovative use of the controls.

It is a disappointment for me. Others here don't mind the high price nor the lack of horsepower for more complicated environments, and that's their prerogative.

I used to routinely punch my friend when playing football on SNES against him. You can't do that over the internet.

I'm sure N is sad that some Canuck who hasn't even played the Wii and has only read internet reports is disappointed.

            • You guys clearly aren't reading that sentence correctly.

Key word is having to have. I can play next to somebody (local multiplayer), I can play on a LAN with somebody (2+ consoles in a room), or I can play on the internet with somebody (internet play). This is better than having to have somebody in the room with you to play.

              Reading comprehension is key, boys.

They should be, because I'm in the golden demographic.

Your english sucks -- "having to have" is key. Forcing multiplayer to be local only is not a good thing, mmkay.

                  • On the Virtual Console:

Don't care that games can't be played elsewhere, but I see how some would be annoyed. My guess is that Nintendo changes that, as well as the widescreen issues.

I've downloaded Mario 64 and Sonic and have played a bit on them, and they run perfectly fine on my tv, which is a regular non widescreen tv.

Frankly I'd rather play Mario 64 than 95% of the Xbox/360 library.

Reallly looking forward to the releases of the n64 zelda games and the mario kart series. Nintendo's back catelogue is a strength, so I'm glad they're actually using it.

Mario 64 is free on the PC, as are the backcatalogue of Zelda games.

I thought they were targetting the casual gamers/parents with disposable income, and hoping to luck into a portion of the "serious gamer" dem that is tired of Xbox/Ps3 rehashes?

                          Emulated?

No thanks. I'd rather play those games on my tv with a regular controller than on my pc with my logitech ps2 rip off controller.

Not to mention the illegality of roms.

Golden demographic is 18-35 with lots of disposable income, is it not?

If such people are doubtful or otherwise not interesting, their product is in trouble.

                                Really.

Where is Geometry Wars on Yahoo?
