I've never played Geometry Wars, but it just looks like a flashy Asteroids, looking at wiki.

And honestly, how difficult would it be to make clones of these and put them online? Isn't the whole point that these games are trivial to make?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Pretty much by definition, the 360 can't have a lasting advantage over the PC from XBLA.
Note that you made your comment in reference to the 360 vs Wii. My point was while the Virtual Console's top sellers are on the PC, XBLA's are not. Just something to note, is all.
I do take your point that all console gaming is inherently inferior to the PC because kids can make their own games on the PC, and indeed even make their own Wiimotes and drivers if they wish. Stunning argument."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Anyone can go to games.yahoo.com or wherever and immediately start playing a flash game. It takes a little more (not much) to figure out how to run an emulator and to find the ROMS. The technically clueless (who seem to be a large segment of the target for XBLA) can do the former but not the latter.

A couple seconds on google turns up:
Blogger is a blog publishing tool from Google for easily sharing your thoughts with the world. Blogger makes it simple to post text, photos and video onto your personal or team blog.
(Having not played any of them, or GW itself, I won't comment on how close they actually are.)

2. The Arcade games ARE on the Internet. Half of them seem to be a rehash of other free online games. Geometry Wars, as linked above, is on there. Not hard to find a better alternative to XBLA's Poker game. Contra, Mortal Kombat, both available (through ROMs...zomfg XBLA's top sellers are on the PC!!!!!) Frogger, same.

Is "the average person" wanting to play Mario 64?

Clones of the popular ones are inevitable, but they're not the same thing nor true clones. More like impressions. And seeing as Geometry Wars is all of $5, well..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Does this look like a Flash or Java game?
