Would NFL players still be hilarious obese if they played more?

Is it any wonder that these players can't play more than once a week? Weak!
No, you said that 250 pound hockey players are fit, but 250 pound NFL players are fat. Can you back that up at all?

Its ok Asher. We won't judge you too harshly for your jealousy. It is easy to be jealous of the NFL, but just because hocket is overshadowed by it is no reason to take that inferiority out on the NFL players.

The NFL does not overshadow the NHL in Canada. Nothing would make me happier than to see the NHL retreat from the US and make more Canadian teams.

In fact, a recent poll in Toronto said at least 50% of people do not want an NFL team in the Toronto area.

Unless I'm mistaken, Toronto has enough trouble supporting the Argos, so thats not entirely surprising.

Of course. I'll back it up til the day I die, but not with evidence of any sort.

Your jealous is all consuming, Asher. We can help! You don't need to let your inferiority complex consume you in the way it has!

You know, I wish I got paid millions a year to stuff my face with fast food and work for 3 hours a week. Football players have it rough, man.

Trying telling running backs how "easy" they have it compared to hockey players.

The average life span of a NFL running back is like 3 years. The abuse their bodies take is unbelievable. Yeah, some last longer, but many don't. In comparison, hockey players are just pussies, and take no where near the level of abuse.

But then again... you are just trolling

The amusing thing about this is that fifty years ago, before NFL players were making millions a year, they went out of shape once the season was over and usually had other jobs.

Nowadays, however, they are generally constantly training, even once the season is over, and have to be as fit as they possibly can be to keep their spot on the team come training camp and preseason.

But, since Asher isn't actually here to discuss football, the fact that he's completely ignorant of this situation is fairly meaningless.

Imagine how much longer they could play if they didn't eat McDonalds 7 times a week and do all kinds of drugs.

The truly fat NFL players (350+) aren't in good shape by a reasonable definition. They're immensely stong, but they get winded very easily. Guys like Gilbert Brown, Ted Washington, etc. only play / played around half of the team's defensive snaps; the other half of the time they were on the bench sucking oxygen.

The NFL linebackers are probably some of the best athletes in the world. 250-260 pounds, 4.5-4.6 forty times, playing all out every play.

Even those lardasses are in better shape than some MLB players. At least the NFL nose tackles are freakishly strong. Guys like David Ortiz are just fat.
