I don't want to make you overconfident, but seriously, does anyone here see this game ending in anything less than an absolute curbstomping?

Ummm, maybe you should take a lesson from that game.......

            I'm just sayin'

            • That's true, Sloww. But, to me, this would be the biggest upset in the history of the BCS. I can't see how the Leak/Tebow show will be able to move the ball with any consistency against the Buckeye defense, nor can I see how the Florida defense can hope to stop the balanced OSU attack.

Don't get me wrong. As I've said, while I think Michigan is the #2 team in the country, they had their crack at OSU, and some other team should get a chance. But, to be honest, as chances go, Florida's is comparable to a snowball's in hell.

EDIT: post #500, let's start over.

The reasons I picked OSU in that game were because I felt their running game matched up well against Miami, and that Miami wasn't tested all season long and would therefore likely gag in a close one.

Neither rationale applies to this matchup.

                  • I'm not a fanboy of Florida particularly. There are teams I like less.
I'm been reduced to lobbying a good team to meet Oklahoma, for God's sake.

I feel the same way about Boise State.

                      Oklahoma? please.

                      • I'd rather have Boise State play OSU, to be honest with you. Not that they'd fare any better than Florida, but at least they didn't stumble along the way.

so would I, for one reason. How can you have a national champion when every team in the nation doesn't have a chance to win.

I guarantee a non-BCS team will NEVER have the chance to play in the national championship game.

                          That is just damn sad.

                          • You've said yourself about quality of opponents.
That goes for both of you. I'm not an Okie fan, but I recognize the quality of competition in the conference.
It's not like they backed in or anything.

                            • i think all the conferences are about equal. at the top they are all pretty good, some better than others, and at the bottom they all suck.

Except for the whole "Texas losing it's last 2 games" thing.

Hey, Texas gets to travel a whole 60 miles to the Alamo Bowl.

I'd bet money they will be the away team.
