edit: Since their loss at BC on Sep. 16th, BYU has won 6 straight games by a combined score of 225 to 58. Lowest margin of victory in those six games is 14 points...
edit 2: And they're doing that in the Mountain West, the toughest of the mid-major conferences.
edit 3: Plus, their loss to BC was in overtime, on the road. Their three-point loss to Arizona (also on the road) in the first game of the season is the only other blemish on their record...
But, even a homer like me wouldn't put them at 7.

I wouldn't have them at #7 either if I was doing a normal, "quality of season" ranking. I'm just going on potential, however, and BYU is certainly playing like a top-10 team...KH FOR OWNER!

BYU has an excellent computer graphics department.
The Butch Davis hiring will be good, if you ask me. I think a lot of coaches don't transition well into the NFL, especially if that NFL team is the sorry Cleveland Browns. Steve Spurrier is an example, and Nick Saban may be an example after a while. Spurrier was also a UNC candidate a couple years ago, and now I'm glad that the AD waited!Comment

If Rutgers pulls it out, everything is in place for them to go on and lose to WVU at the end of the year, thus making them a long, drawn out version of what the SEC is every year, i.e. a conference that guarantees each team 1 loss. =)Comment
