Stanford actually has 7 away games this year, and that has contributed to Sagarin ranking their SOS as #1.
Another nice thing about Sagarin and similar rankings is that they include an evaluation of all of the opponents' opponents, and the opponents' opponents' opponents, etc. Since some I-A teams play some I-AA opponents, you can compare any two teams in I-A/I-AA. In the extreme, the NCAA would value a game against a 12-0 I-AA team (or MAC team or whatever) just as highly as a game against OSU.
