Watch the throw... he did step into it and was pummeled a split second after it. The ball got right to the receiver's hands and rather than being 'high', it didn't float, it got to White quickly. I mean, really, any other QB not named Vick and the onus would have been on the receiver. But since it's Vick, it's "lets pile on the QB" and talk about underthrow. If it was Eli Manning or Drew Brees or Steve McNair, underthrow wouldn't have even been mentioned.

Yes, but the fact was that the Falcons D was playing the Saints pretty well. It isn't based on nothing, but the way they settled down after the 1st Q and then after the last second Hail Mary. And then how they collapsed at the end.

Why is he throwing Philip Rivers so much? He's against the second best pass defense in the league and he has the best running back in the game.

He should be running Turner and Tomlinson all day at the Oakland front line, yet every single drive seems to start with Rivers throwing incomplete.

Well Tomlinson does have a 3.8 yard per carry average in this game, so it seems like Oakland is doing well against LT.

Oakland's defense is actually good. People don't notice because they are distracted by the offense's marvelous level of ineptitude.

Well it's hard to get a first down when you get an incomplete pass, run for 5 yards and then another incomplete.

And sure enough Rivers throws an INT.

What was that about them stopping Tomlinson all day. The problem ain't Tomlison, it's Rivers.

Oakland has the second worst run defense and the chargers are calling 65 percent of their plays for pass? It makes no sense.

I'm not piling on Vick (re that play). I'm just saying it's a pretty big assumption to say it was a designed play. Look, if you need to believe that he underthrew it on purpose, nothing I write is going to change your mind.

But certain facts remain:
The Falcons D gave up 31 points. They did not play consistently well. They basically played a half. That's not enough, especially against a good offense.
